Hey! Hope everyone had a great holiday season!! With the craziness of the holidays finally gone – I’m back! And with lots of new material and ideas for my site. Like I’ve mentioned in the past I wasn’t sure of what direction I would go with this page especially once I finished reading Twilight. I wish to re-read New Moon in the future yet at the moment I want to wait. I would prefer to wait until about a month or so before the movie comes out. So what to do in the mean time? After MUCH pressure from co-workers I’ve given in to reading Harry Potter. I never thought I would. I’d seen the first two movies and honestly disliked them - a lot. So I saw no point in reading the books. Yet, after seeing the Twilight movie I decided I should give HP another chance. I could see how non-Twilight book readers could dislike the movie and thought that maybe that was just me but with HP. Since then I’ve read the first 2 books and have journalled throughout all of them! So, I plan to post that material along with continue reading all of the books. In addition to that I want to finally read the Host and possibly a few other books I have heard about. So, that’s a little to look forward to. Along with all of this, I’d like to be able to post any big Twilight updates I hear about yet, like Ive mentioned before, I’m not looking to be a fan site since I am not able to update daily with Twilight news due to my full time job (even though I would looovvee to be able to do that)! Anyways, I hope to update the last few chapters of Twilight tonight and possibly get started on the HP books as well? We’ll see!

Chapter 20 : Thoughts
This is always an interesting chapter. I think mainly because Jasper is mentioned more. Throughout most of this book and well most of the others except Eclipse, Jasper is rarely mentioned yet in this chapter he is talked about. One of my favorite characters throughout the series is Alice and I think this chapter started my love for her. Before this, you don't really see/hear much from her. Right away I notice how she can be so close to Bella and enjoy it and have no desire to hurt her like many of the other Cullens have issues with (especially Jasper). Also, Bella mentions Alice as her friend in this chapter and then also realizes that Alice knew they would be friends all along.
One of the biggest mysteries for me in this Chapter was how Alice doesn't remember being human. I could not wait to find out why and what this meant! (I was rather disappointed this wasn't mentioned in the movie... but understand)
Overall, the ending of this chapter annoyed me (Not in a bad way... just in the way that I knew something bad was going to happen... or when you are watching a scary movie and know that their actions are going to lead to something bad!) . Bella was so dumb. First, they see James running a VCR... if they only knew... THEN she calls her house and leaves a message. As soon as it is mentioned for her to use the phone I got a bad feeling about it!

| I forgot to mention in my other posts how excited I was about the $ that Twilight has brought in! I was completely prepared to watch the box office until it hit $150 million since that is when Summit claimed they would wait to announce if New Moon would be made, yet I still find it interesting that Twilight hit $69,637,740 just this weekend alone! =)

Chapter 19 : Thoughts
When reading this the first time around all I could think was 'how could she do this to Charlie'! I hated reading her yelling at Edward and Charlie during this part of the book and honestly it wasn't any easier the second time around (I hate to compare it to the movie... but I have to just say that it was hard to even watch in the movie!) The fact the Edward's confidence is so strong throughout this time in the book always amazes me. He is always one of the least confident characters throughout the book and yet when it comes to keeping Bella save he has no fear that they will be together again.
The goodbye was the hardest part of this chapter though.

Chapter 18 : Thoughts
The first quote I posted above is definitely one of my favorites. It's one of those simple things (that was unfortunately left out of the movie) that meant a lot. I love it. The second part of this chapter which has such an impact was when Bella's hair blows in the wind. Even though it is such a simple action it turns everything around in seconds. I love it.
Some things besides the obvious above that I noticed both times while reading this chapter were the fact that they start heading away from Forks confused me (the first time around). The first thing that came to mind, like Bella's, was "But what about Charlie!?!" In addition to this, Emmett suddenly becoming very protective of Bella during this part of the book is amazing too. It really shows how she truly is becoming a part of the Cullen family.

New Moon : What about Rob?
"Not to give too much away to newcomers, but Pattinson’s heartthrob vamp Edward Cullen is largely absent from Meyer’s second novel. Clearly, Pattinson and his perfectly coiffed hair have been a big draw for smitten Twilight fans. The filmmakers will either need to figure out a way to bring Edward into the plot or risk the possibility Team Edwarders might feel disappointed."
- I remember in one of the hundreds of interviews of Rob that I've come across, he mentions how he doesn't want any additional parts of Edward to be in New Moon (although it will mean less screen time for him) because it will take away from the story. I couldn't agree more. Don't get me wrong Rob is great to look at and who doesn't want to see more of him! But, it would completely ruin the torture/suspense during the majority of New Moon and would really take away from the amazing ending!
On that note... it doesn't look like we'll have to wait too long to see how they will be going about creating New Moon
Summit Entertainment announces New Moon
